Education For All

What is the problem?

  • The problem is that many people around the world aren’t able to receive or access an education due to their financial problems, ethnic backgrounds or physical states. According to an international organization named EFA (Education for All), around 77 million children (44 million being girls) are not in school.

    Why is this a problem?

    • This is a issue, because, without an education, people are hindered in many different ways. For instance, without a certain level of education, many will not be able to find jobs that could pay for their family. Also, learning helps people understand the world more, instead of having them kept ignorant.
    • The main reasons why many lack an education is because of socio-economic status and physical health. By socio-economic status, I mean their financial rank in society (poor, middle and wealthy class). This problem is also caused by man, because sometimes the government doesn’t reach out to people, who are poor and ill, and give them an education.

    Who is affected?
    • The main people who are affected by this are the ones who are financially challenged, impoverished, have physical disabilities, and girls with teenage pregnancy. Because of the obstacles within their lives, these specific people aren’t able to access an education.

    • This issue affects the world, because with people uneducated, mankind’s progression in life will diminish. What I mean by that is humans wont be able to discover new ideas for the future, because they are uneducated. Also, their would not be any jobs around.

    Possible Solutions
    • An organization called EFA (education for all) is ensuring that by 2015, all children, particularly girls, those in difficult circumstances, and those belonging to ethnic minorities, have access to and complete, free, and compulsory primary education of good quality.

    Practical Solutions
    • One solution could be, for people who are educated, is to teach others who need an education.
